Hi all,
Thought I would let you all know I have an upcoming exhibition of my "Haarlem by Night" series photos, in the ABC Centre for Architecture here in Haarlem, the Netherlands. It is all a last-minute opportunity, as they happened to have a gap in their planning, so I am up to my neck in getting things ready.
I will be sharing the space with an illustrator, Eric Coolen, who makes night time architectural illustrations of buildings here in Haarlem, so they fit my work well, and it should be a nice exhibition.
Actually, to be really honest, it will by my first real exhibition as well, disregarding some very large group exhibitions only showing 1 or 2 works. I have been sitting all to long on my work, instead of getting active to try to exhibit it. Glad to have this opportunity now.
I realize not many of you here on APUG will have the opportunity to visit, but hey, if you happen to be in the country, for example visiting Amsterdam, it is just a twelve minutes train ride to Haarlem

The ABC is a public exhibition centre for architecture, more or less a museum, although it isn't called that, but it is a well established public institution here in Haarlem, with year round exhibitions regarding architecture in its broadest sense. The exhibition is in the central corridor of the building. I hope to have about 15-17 photographs on display.
As written above, the Frans Hals museum, with 17th century master paintings is across the road, and the main entrance is shared with the Historical museum Haarlem. Behind that, to the left of the main entrance, is another entrance to an art gallery that regularly displays photographs of the Spaarnestad Photo Archive (contains over 11 million photographs, probably one of the largest in the world - http://www.spaarnestadphoto.nl/index.php?lang=en), an institution that happens to be situated in the same building complex as well.
So within a 100 meter radius, you can happily spend an afternoon or so...
