Maybe you've got a 52mm, 58mm, or 67mm filter you're thinking about tossing because it's just too horrible to contemplate using for image-making. That's what I want. Any color or no color, uncoated, coated, whatever, anything will do. The only requirements are that the glass be intact (scratches and stains are OK, but no fungus) and the male threads are good. Damaged female threads are fine.

I'm tired of fiddling with Versalab's microscope slide and rubber bands when checking the alignment of my enlarger, which sometimes needs adjustment across the range of magnifications I use. I'll put electrical tape on the lens (male thread) side of these filters and keep them in the darkroom. Then for alignment I can simply screw it in to whatever enlarging lens I'm using to get a reflection off the front surface, hence the need for good male threads. The black tape will block the transmitted laser light so it's not focused onto the negative.

I'd normally find these at my local camera show's dollar table but the next show isn't until next April and I didn't think of this solution before the last show 😞.

Happy to pay reasonable postage.

I've got nice filters in good shape, but not worth selling -- like cross-screen, color-compensating (85a, etc.). If these are of any use, I can check the diameters and get back.

Also, I have "filters" without glass.

Anything that'll give a decent reflection off the front surface is fine. I'm not sure about cross-screen, but 85a or pretty much any other glass filter should work.
