What is the secret to getting the cassette out of the camera? The manual states pull down from the top of the cassette while turning it CCW, but it is not working for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In viewing some on line videos it seems that the film advance gear that engages the spool retracts into the body when loading and unloading?
Is this correct? Might be the issue with mine since it is not does not retract.
