I was asked to find out which model Balda this is, I can't find anything on it.

My bet is is a Baldessa I.
Showing lens and shutter would be helpful.
As you seemingly want to be correct, the designation "Balda-Kamerawerk" would be better as it indicates the new, west-german entity.


That is a neat design. Tell your friend to find out a more refined solution to connect that cord to the lugs.
And keep in mind that camera was "developed by experienced designers for sophisticated amateurs" .

Thank you rgeorge. The camera is part of an estate that I was asked to appraise. I had been online for hours yesterday and got tired, so I asked for help. I was on the site supplied, but obviously didn't go far enough. I may be selling the collection for the family in the near future.
