This may look dumb but is there any kind of universal grip with mount to attach in any 35mm SLR to serve as a remote shutter trigger with a cord?
Or to achieve something like this, one must modify a grip flashgun with a remote cord to achieve this?
The problem being if there's an electronic release or mechanical.
At one time there was an aftermarket release that used a solenoid to activate
a mechanical shutter. What you want to do should be pretty simple to DIY.
Switch, wire, battery, cable release & solenoid should be about all it needs..
There may be something on youtube or one of the DIY sites that could help out.
In the 1980s I needed a bracket with shutter release for my 6x6 Yashica 124G. I found a handle almost exactly like this picture from the internet. Through the little hole in the handle I put a mechanical shutter release.

The Vivitars were two pieces, the removable handle and the bracket. I believe the cable release was also separate(maybe)
I've seen any of the three pieces by themselves.
Several "pistol-grips" were offered. They could be used on still and cine cameras. They had a cable release.
Typically the release button part was screwd into the grip. That meant one needed to use the dedicated cable release, which is important to know when buying used today.
So far I have not come across a "mechanical/electrical relay". Alternatively one could built such oneself out of a microswitch and a female release thread. Or install a key-switch and a electrical cable at the grip from the start.
Thanks you guys for all yoour help! More one doubt answered
Going to try to get a Stitz for the next month for my collection. Since I have shaky hands many times, I need something like this to help me on this issue.
