OK, so I saw on Freestyle.com that they sell Unicolor for C-41 negative processing, and I've been using JOBO C-41 Press Kit. When I pulled up Unicolor's instruction PDF I saw it is identical to JOBO's, except the name has been changed. Same processing, same diagrams, same warnings.

Are these really the same chemicals? Unicolor says its 1 liter kit does 8 35mm/36 rolls, and JOBO says it does 12. Unicolor cost around $6 less than JOBO. Can anyone give me any insight into these two kits? Thanks.

No, both powder as far as I can tell.

OK figured it out, it's 8 35mm/36 rolls and 12 35mm/24 rolls, the same as JOBO. Guess I'll try some unicolor since it's cheaper.

The only negative thing I can say about Jobo is that when the name goes on the price goes up.

Quite true Jerry. I'm ordering a couple boxes of Unicolor to see if there's any difference (I doubt it).
