I picked up a cheap broken Kalimar Reflex camera a couple of months ago, and repairing it has been going pretty well! The prestigious Rick Oleson shared with me some notes on disassembling the camera, which has been a huge help.
My current issue is one of the shutter curtains traveling at inconsistent speeds, leading to uneven exposure. I initially was able to fix it by increasing the shutter curtain's tension, but that seems to have not worked in the long term.
My thought is that this has to do with the tension rod spring's lubrication, but it's not clear to me how the tension rod is assembled and what cleaning and lubricating it would entail.
I've messed around with it quite a bit and haven't really gotten anywhere, so I was curious if anyone has thoughts on what I should try to solve this. Appreciate your help and patience!
