Hi all,

I discovered something yesterday Im not sure is a problem or not. I cant really remember if Ive seen it before so it made me curious. Its not as bad as it appears to be on the photo but it will give you an idea.

After doing a BW reversal development I discovered that the first few frames of the film where not solid black, which I expected them to be as it is unexposed film (reversal). It was pretty black but a bit uneven, or streaks. Shouldnt this be solid black, the same way a unexposed negative should be completely transparent?

I cant detect this on the exposed frames but that doesnt mean its not there I suppose. If anyone knows what might cause this Im happy to hear it, but Im mostly interested in getting a conformation on that is should be solid black...

The process went like this: developing, bleach, clearing bath, chemical re-exposure bath, second development, fix and stab (washing inbetween).

Cheers
Peter
