I shoot over by 2 stops then when I develop I under develop by 2 stops.
HOW?
Do i increase temp..dont like that..too ify
Do I reduce minutes? say standard time for the developer and film/iso im using is 6.5 minutes
do I now only develop 4.5? 5.? 5.5? to achieve the 2 stops under.
I would reduce it to 9 minutes and go from there. Seems like a more or less standard procedure from the outset. Time is the first adjustment that should be made IMHO.
Is this what you want? To develop film that has had 2 stops extra exposure so that the negative densities corresponding to Zones VI and VII are the same as normally exposed and developed film. If so try giving half the normal development time, inspect the result, and make further adjustments from there.
If your objective is to make high key photographs of ordinary subject matter by changing exposure and development then you are unlikely to succeed. High key pictures depend strongly on having actual high key subject matter. Given that, ordinary exposure and development works fine.
how do you plan on printing these images ?
if you have the ability to deal with long exposure times
i would ( and have ) been in your situation, and i over developed
the film (or at least developed it by the "normal" developing time + a minute for good luck ) .
good luck!
