Just wanted to check my understanding of CC (colour compensating) gel filters.
Say I am using a filter pack of 30R + 20Y + 10M, is there a simpler way to achieve the same thing using only R and Y, and if so what should the new R and Y values be? (I'm thinking that Y and M makes R)
Thanks for any clarification or correction, pardon the pun!
Thanks for your replies. I was thinking along those lines but wan't sure.
It’s scene lighting but I’m working with a limited choice of filters so trial and error has got me to this point. It did occur to me that it is an odd mix of subtractive and additive hence trying to see if there is another CC combination that would work.
I’m keen to reduce the number of filters to a minimum as some of them are in less than perfect condition.
