I wanted to post a public thank you to each and everyone who visited my first photographic/art exhibit over the last two months.

The exhibit Metal & Stone ran from Jan 6 - feb 26 (well actually a week longer). I took the show down on monday afternoon. Spent last night (most of it) scanning the prints in and putting together a website of the show. For anyone who couldnt make it to visit and would like to see the work:
http://www.matthewmagruder.com/photography/umlauf_show/index.html

again, I want to thank each and everyone who visited the exhibit and/or attended the lecture I gave on Feb 1st. It was a wonderful experience and one I hope to be afforded again. I would also like to thank everyone who was so helpful in sharing their knowledge and experiences about everything from hanging the work, pricing the work, to dealing with all the hoopla that comes with the art world. Your help was/is immeasurable.

I always like to hear comments critiques thoughts about the work, the info on the website, etc etc. any and all of it.

thanks again.

Matt,

Thanks for the followup. I wish I could have been in Texas to see it. It is good to hear everything went so well.

It was a fantastic show and I got even got a tour of the garden by the photographer extraordinaire himself and THEN he even accompanied me and my lady friend to dinner. A class act all the way!

Can't wait until the next show Matt, I'll be going to whereever for that one, too!

I'm sorry I missed it. Every weekend I was in Dallas I was busy working on my fiancée’s house so we could put it up for sale. Your sculpture garden work is my favorite of your series. Great job! We need to have a (central to)east TX meet up sometime this year.

Very well done. I did not realise that the images were all pt/pd, I thought that some were going to be VDB's.

I managed to make it to the show on almost the last day, and I'm glad I did. The tonality and luminosity of those platinums is just awesome in person; scans on a website do them NO justice. The 7x17 is your format, Scooter.

I was really hoping to get to the lecture and meet the man himself, but it just wasn't in the cards.

Matt, a hearty well done and so sorry I wasn't able to make it that far east. Will check out the web site at work, this land line is too slow here at home. Hope the next show is even better. Also agree about the format, you've given the 7x17 a large shot in the arm. tim

Like the others, wish to congratulate you Matt....at least I have been fortunate to see most of the prints in person...but still regret not making it down to see the show.

Come on Tim, go wild and look at it with the land line
I did last evening, it was an exercise in patience - reminded me of waiting for the light to be just right working with LF
