I have in my frozen storage, an unused roll of black and white Ilford Delta 100 ultra large format film. The film is 100 meters long and 54inches wide (52 inches / 132 cm – usable width). The roll was special ordered directly from Ilford and was purchased for a project which I am no longer working on.

Please reach out if you are interested in purchasing the roll, and please feel free to share this with anyone you know who might be interested.

Out of curiosity, what did you plan on useing this for? And how did you order this from Ilford, as this definitely isn’t a standard size, even in terms of ULF.

And how big is your freezer?! Amazing that this even exists. Makes me dream of building an enormous box truck roll film camera. If only I had a walk in freezer.

The conclusion that the folks I showed this to (because I was flabbergasted!) came up with is that he literally ordered a master roll from Ilford. Why? Who knows. But it’s pretty cool that they are at least willing to sell stupid large amounts of film to people, lol

As Ilford "Master Rolls" are around 1600 meters (5200 feet) long, this is just a small snip off one.
Harmon (Ilford & Kentmere) has always been open to custom runs IF you were willing to spend the big bucks.

A three hundred foot roll is really not that big. Sure, it won't fit in your average kitchen freezer, but I've got rolls of 40",42", & 54"x100' paper, and it's no big deal.

I think when you figure out how many 4x5 or 8x10 sheets that will give you, 6K is a steal! How old is it?

I don’t have a paper cutter big enough for it, lol. Been thinking about getting a 9.5” roll of areal film and doing this, could make 300 8x10 sheets, 1,200 4x5 sheets, 2,169 3x4 sheets, or 3,800 2x3 sheets.

I bought one and cutting that is enough of a pain -- and all I've done is cut a few 8x10s out of it (well, 8x9.5s).

Cutting film that's 54" wide ....

If I had a spare 6K, I'd buy it and feed my 14x17. I'd have to make some sort of a jig to cut... But... all just a dream for me. I stuck with that size in XRAY only, I guess. 😄

It would be absolutely essential to build something to use to cut the film. But if you did buy it and set something up to cut it, you'd only need to sell 60 packs of 20 8x10s at $100 a pack to recover the entire purchase price. That's dirty cheap for 8x10 film - they'd sell in a day. (Well, maybe a week.) (Although that would use 60 meters of the film - leaving you with only 40....) So go for it!

I have a paper cutter with a stop that lets me cut consistency enough. The tricky part would be figuring out how to store it.

I have set up with a paper cutter before to cut sheets from a roll of colour paper. It's not as slippery as film - although still pretty slippery. To cut sheets of the aviphot for 8x10 holders, I used scissors and cut off about 24 inches. Then I cut that on the paper cutter. It worked ok and the sheets went straight into holders.
But it isn't 54 inches wide.
