Any one here who has experience with this paper?

A new student of mine bought some (because it was so cheap)

We are having serious issues.

Using LPD 1:4 developer and can only control the print using f32 at 6 sec with 60 sec development times.

Never seen anything like this before.

Any thoughts?

I have never used that paper, but a generic cause of this sort of problem might be an aperture that was not closing as expected or a bulb/lighting-system that was over powered ??

Workarounds might include using a less powerful bulb (not handy in a teaching-darkroom), using a VC filter (if not using one currently), using an ND filter on the lens or in the filter pack, switching in the neutral-density filter in the dichroic head if one is fitted, saving the paper for high degrees of enlargement where the times would otherwise be rather long.

I have been using this paper for some time now in the 5x7 and 8x10 sizes and have been very, very pleased with the results. In my experience behaves just the paper from other reputable manufacturers such as Ilford. Have you tried contacting Photo Warehouse?

It isn't the best paper in the wold, IMO, but it is cheap and great for students. I use it for work prints and contact sheets. Finished work gets printed on something better.

It sounds as if you have a different problem than just paper brand.

Thanks
I will double check tonight and see if the lens is stopping down as that seems the most logical as this enlarger has been fine

Changing lens type has been the difference

I've been using the 8x10 and 11x14 for years with Ilford multi-contrast filters, Dektol developer, and normal exposure times (my negatives are properly developed). I'm very pleased with it and have made many beautiful prints.
