It's not in the budget for the next couple of months, but I'm wondering - what size mounting threads does this lens have?
I'll mention this ad to my friend with the new Pentax 17 ....

The only Rodenstock (Rodagon & Omegaron) 28mm enlarging lenses I've seen -- a LOT -- all have 32.5mm mounting threads. Its easy to assume it's 39mm/Leica.

Although I don't have a caliper here, the difference between 32.5 and 39 is easy enough to see with a ruler.

That's definitely 39mm alright, but Rodenstock made 32.5 to 39mm adapter -- that's the "(3)" in the table below. My guess is that lens has one of those adapters (simple step-down ring) on it.

Yes! You're right, I would never have spotted that, I gripped the ring hard and twisted and indeed there is a step-down ring attached. I've had this lens years without ever knowing!

Good luck with your sale. I'm not interested because I use a 28mm f4 Schneider -- which has a 25mm rear thread!!!!
