Can someone recommend a good shop for purchasing light meter in UK, preferably London. I am also looking for a camera bag. It´s best if I can go in to the shop as then I could get it tax free and ask all my questions, but if not then online.

I doubt that any photo store offers walk-in customers the service of VAT-free billing.

Here in Germany it even is illegal (with exception of tax-free zones). VAT has to be paid but after passing the border the store can be refunded and then refund the buyer.

Mail-ordering things whilst located outside the EU, can yield a VAT-billing though.

It's probably quickest and easiest just for you to google for "camera shops london" than wait for people to reply here.

West End Cameras is the first one that springs to my mind if you want one name.

I'd go to Calumet at Houston station on the Northern Line unless it's gone by now.

Thanks everyone.
Yes I meant I pay the VAT and then get it refunded.

It is Euston station and yes, they are still there.
Other places include Camera World, Aperture, London Camera Exchange, Mr. Cadd, West End Cameras and Calumet at Wardour street.
If you just want to buy an old meter, there's a few sellers of second hand in street markets.

Yes you pay V.A.T. and you fill out a form in the shop ( I forget what the name is it's been a long time since I filled one out) to reclaim it showing them your passport, the refund will be processed by Customs and Excise, and the refund will be sent to your home address when you have left the country.
