Hello Everyone!

I'm Ann. I've been reading posts on APUG for a while 'cos it's such a great source of information, then it dawned on me...JOIN!! Yipee! Now I can have serious conversations about photography...or conversations about serious photography.

I've been a keen photographer for a looong time and then as a mature (?) student did an HND in Photography back in Scotland. Now 'exiled' to England, it seems I've at last found some fellow photographers. That's great but I could end up sitting at this computer for hours...

Most of my photographs are of plants, flowers & gardens - you might guess that I'm a keen gardener too. About 90% of my photographs are taken with my faithful Mamiya 645 (on Velvia) and the rest with a Canon T90. However I've just bought a Cambo Explorer 5x4 for fun and experiments...:D

Looking forward to getting to know my fellow APUGgers, Ann.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in middle England. Good to see an increase in the stock of experienced photographers here. Well, good for me at least.

Welcome Ann, from Canada. To my great surprise I have discovered that I love shooting plants and flowers as well. ;-)

Steve.

Well Steve, I we had to believe the 1500's or so antique map atlas of a famous cartographer that was on display in last week's transmission of the Aniques Road Show on the BBC, that might actually be "TWO litte bits"..., as the island was devided in two on one of the maps :D

Or did you bridge the gap using the left over sand from your own gardening work? :D

Hi Ann, welcome from the other site of the North Sea!

And hello from another fellow born in England but living abroad.

I've been overwhelmed by the amount of information on here - just about everything you want to know analogue photography.

Welcome from Germany.
I love Scotland.
Have been in Lowestoft in schooldays, spending my holidays with my penfriend.
She lived there in those days. We have still contact since then!

Welcome from sunny Italy.
This is a great place to be.
Unfortunately it's only virtual. It would be fantastic meeting with all of you face to face and sharing experiences.
Can we see some of your pictures somewhere on the web ?
If so let us know.
Ciao

Welcome aboard Ann.

Looks like you are suffering from the well known syndrome of format creep: cameras getting ever larger as time goes by. Sadly, there is no known cure and by this time next year we can expect to see a 10x8" camera in your arsenal  ...

Have fun, Bob.
