I think OP refers to "ugly from use/accident".

Regarding the design I actually think Medalist is one of the most beautiful camera. Being a 6X9 shooter it doesn't really show from its appearance.

Very true, after all, i think some halinas are pretty, and my son loves his Kershaw King Penguin quite often an unconventional skin hides a fabulously capable camera. Some people wouldnt touch a folder but are missing out on Kodak Retinas (i love my iic) amongst others. It actually works rather well. We steer clear of albeit beautiful big ticket fashionable items (leica, Canon P, Olympus 35SP, Nikon F3 etc.) and find true joy in more humble devices yeah, i have an MX, but i get just as much fun from the samoca, the rollei 35b & the Fed3a to name but a few. Some people are just slaves to fashion.

In terms of wear, that would be my OM-4Ti. Bare titanium is showing everywhere, and I can tell you it doesn't look as pretty as brass

Camera is still going strong and one of my most used cameras.

As per design, some consider Kiev 6c ugly but is one of my favorite soviet cameras. Quite reliable actually and Volna lens is quite good.

Ugly (?) by design? A representative image of the very first 35mm camera used by pre-teen me, the Kodak 35 RF. And yes, it was even heavier and larger than it looks:

That Kodak 35 has a definite Steam-punk look to it. Very cool!

It was introduced in 1938 - almost from the Steam era, but not quite!

Probably. I'm in the process of trying to sell (locally, due to the size and weight of the kit) a similar vintage FTb with a history - I prefer to refer to it as character

The brassing look nice on that one. I remember using a chrome FTb fork work once. The meter didn't work so had to go Sunny 16 for months.

Not mine, I found it online. The students must loved it so much and this will take the award as the ugliest.
