Typical Color of Tektol Standard Print Developer

I'm trying out Silvergrain Tektol Standard. I ordered a bottle and 3 weeks later mixed my first batch per the directions. After mixed to 1:10, the solution color was similar to a weak stop bath. In stronger concentration it has a somewhat orange/yellow tint. Is this normal???

Has anyone used subject developer and could you provide comments?
