Two year old Tmax 3200

An astronomy friend has asked me to develop a two year old roll of Tmax 3200 for him. His Nikkormat camera only has film speeds up to 1600, so he obviously shot it +1. On the down side, I think he was pretty much guessing at the shutter speed (long exposures at prime focus; I have no idea how long these exposures were!) I've never used 3200 Tmax but with Tmax 100 and 400 I use (fresh) D76, undiluted. Anyone have any suggestions? In the absence of anything else I'll just stick it in a tank for whatever Kodak recommends. Thanks!

If he has a Nikkormat with working lightmeter that will be something as mine and all the others I've seen aren't reliable (meter wise)
I like TMZ in T-Max developer, seems to give better shadow/grain.
But D76 will work

Microphen is the weapon of choice for 3200 - it will reduce the grit and give max film speed. at two years old you can expect the base fog to be about .4 density. Just print through it and enjoy - no harm done.

Just a couple of weeks back I developed a fairly old roll of Tmax3200 (shot at around ISO1200) in D76 stock for 14 minutes. Base fog was rather high, but as fhovie suggested, don't worry and just print through it.

Thanks for all the suggestions, folks. As Ilford chemistry isn't locally available I'll go with D76 for 14 minutes.

Developing Old T-MAX P3200 Film

I have many Nikkormats. If they are serviced properly their meters can still work nicely. I agree that Microphen would be the best choice for this film. If you can't get Microphen then some other good choices would be Clayton F60 1:9, NACCO Super 76 1:4, Ilford DD-X, Acufine or UFG.
