And the cleansing continues. I really don't want my heirs to suffer, so up for your shopping pleasure is:
A Petri 35 with "color corrected super 28" Orikkor lens, a lovely thing with Leica aspirations on a post-war depreciated Yen budget. But seriously, the rangefinder works and isn't even too dim, the shutter works on all speeds and doesn't sound bad. All-in-all and nice useable camera.
A Konica I-type E, which if I read the Wiki article correctly means it was made in late 1950. It has Hexanon f 2.8 50mm lens, does NOT say "Made in Occupied Japan" and is built like a freaking tank, no kidding, no plastic anywhere on this thing. Talk about solid. They really tried to make this look like a Leica -- it even has a collapsible lens.
The shutter could use a service -- the speeds are all way too fast. The rangefinder is dim and slow to respond to focus change.
Prices on these things on the auction site are all over the map. I just want them gone, so how's about $65 for the pair? That includes shipping to anywhere the USPS delivers in insured and priority mail comfort, very solidly packed.
