I bought these two lenses for a specific photo project. They performed perfectly. Now I don't need them anymore!
First up is a lovely 500mm Nikkor f/8, with a Nikon HN-27 short lens shade (more for protection than shade). It is in nearly new-lloking condition (see photos) and focuses smoothly. Not too tight, not too loose. No rough spots. This is the best version of the three 500 mirror lenses that Nikon produced--note the orange stripe.
It comes with a ratty looking CL-39 Nikkor case. Solid still but ugly. Also included is the filter pack (one is already on the lens. A total of five small, round glass filters--they are still in their factory packaging and are probably unused. The vinyl of the filter case is cracking all over but otherwise solid. (fyi, the filter acse nestles inside the lid of the lens case so you always have it. The filters, in use, screw on the *rear* of the lens. See photo. Comes with Nikon front and rear caps.
Second up is a rather hard to find Tamron 350mm SP Mirror lens. I don't know of any 35mm mirror lens for full frame this wide. Another very cool lens. This one is part of the Adaptall series and comes with a Nikon F AI adapter. I don't have a case or front cap for this but I do have the deep front shade and a Nikon-brand rear cap. This lens is also in really great condition, focus is smooth and grit-free.
Both lenses could almost pass for new if I had boxes and cases, etc.
