Selling two Canon A1 cameras that came in a large group of gear that I purchased. Selling them as 'Packages' or 'Kits'. Both cameras and lenses show use and wear but are working. No real signs of abuse like cracks from dropping other hard hits, the battery compartments on the both winders are clean and free of battery acid. Both lenses come with their proper front lens cap and neither body is exhibiting the Canon 'A series squeal'.

  • Camera #1- A1 body, Winder A2, 35-70mm f/2.8/3.5 Canon lens and Canon 199a speedlite. General wear on camera and lens, the glass seems clean w/o any scratches. About halfway through the zoom range it gets a little tight but it still zooms through the entire range. The biggest issue with this camera is the one of the hinges of the battery door on the camera body is missing. Everything works fine but when you open the little door on the camera you are aware the top is not attached.

  • Camera #2- A1 body, winder A2 and Vivitar Series 1 70-200mm f/3.5 Zoom lens w/ Tiffen Sky filter. Like the other lens, there are signs of wear and usage on both the body and lens but everything seems to be working. The lens has what looks like a drivers license number etched into it, it doesn't affect its use but it is pretty ugly.

That FD 35-70 f2.8/3.5 lens is a cracker. Bought an nFD example over 40 years ago and it was an excellent performer. Canon should have put a red ring on the lens. Mine has developed a fault where I think the the pins that engage the zoom helical may have failed as when I tilt the lens it feels like one of the internal lens groups is shifting back and forth several millimetres. It's now in honourable retirement being replaced by the last 35-105 / f3.5 zoom. A bit heavier but a good performer. I still have a mint A1 amongst other FD bodies so I'm not really in the market for more FD bodies.

Good luck with the sale.
