Tura P 150 ??? Yea or Nea???

I recently bought some Tura 150 film to play with. Now, here's where the rest of you start shaking, your heads...

I'm a complete greenhorn when it comes to bw film. Shot my first roll this past summer and achieved only marginal results. I purchased the Tura film, mostly because it was cheap.

...now for the fun...Being that I don't develop my film (its a time and money thing; not lack of desire) can this be processed C-41? Or does it require another process?

Does anyone have experience with the stuff and can you give me some pointers???

Hello there,

Tura 150 is like Agfa 100 and should be rated at 100 ISO (nominal speed) It's a traditional B&W film and must be developed in a B&W dev such as Rodinal etc. Try and find a good lab that does B&W development and printing.

How does the film shape up? Fine, grainy, etc. Did you like using it?

Does it expose normally for 100 asa?

Well, I never used Tura but did use Agfa 100. Very good film, crisp. Not very grainy. Depends on the developer a bit. I should rate the film as ISO 100 to start with.

Hi Joeyk 49
I have used Tura P150 with good results. Have tested 2 developers, Rodinal and Kodak X-tol. Both work well, but the Rodinal tends to give grainy results if there is a slight variation in temp and/or agitation. But when everything goes as planned, the results are very good. The film then delivers very good tonality and fine grain (especially X-tol).

I made tests for the film (zonesystem) and my EI is 50 asa. I can only recommend the film.
