My laptop was stolen and along with it all of my bookmarks. I have a new, muc nicer laptop now, so it's not all bad, but there are a few things I'm trying to locate.

Right now, I'm looking for a bromoil site that I've visited. It was a great site, with at least a dozen people's galleries featured, and more importantly, a whole library of scanned books on bromoil. It might have been the British bromoil circle, or something like that, but I can't find the page I remember seeing.

Any suggestions?

In particular there was a really nice book from the 20s or 30s by a Dr. Somebody which I had downloaded in .pdf and now can't find again.

Try this web address: http://www.alternativephotography.com/ It has great descriptions for this process.

Also, try contacting Gene Laughter. He is a member of apug, and currently has a bromoil print in the gallery section. He is extremely nice. I contacted him after seeing his work on the above listed website before I was an apug memeber. He e-mailed me back and was extremely helpful.

He has written a book entitled, "Bromoil 101".

I suggest you send him a pm and talk with him directly. Based on his work, I strongly believe he will lead you in the right direction. He also has many bromoil prints posted in his apug gallery. They are the best that I have seen thus far.

Regards,
Jamusu.

Ahh, figured it out; it was alt-photo.com (which seems to be down, alas).

Hopefully it's just a temporary server problem.
