I really liked the Tri-X results, so I decided to try out Plus-X. Any suggestions (I don't develop my own stuff ... yet. I am resisting this just yet ... although it is attractive ... )
I rather like it in all formats. It has been one of my mainstay films. Although lately I've been shooting FP4 and HP5 a lot. I'm still a bit miffed at Kodak for discontinuing Plus-X in 4x5 size.
PX is my favorite film. I shoot it at EI 100 (in both 35 mm and 120) and develop for 8:30 in D76 (1:1). I have found that the tonal range of PX, especially in 120, to be very nice. I only wish it was available in 4x5 again.
I have also found it to be a "forgiving" film in both exposure and development. Have fun with it.
