Hi,
I have tried to make the chlorobromide emulsion in the Denise Ross's book. I have some troubles to have good results.
I enlarged the same film, size 10x15cm, and 3 developers ( Dektol, Tfx, D8)
Normally the emulsion is fast : 8 secondes at f/8 with 18inches surface with Tfx developer in the book but for me I exposed the paper at f/5.6 1-2 min with Dektol/ Tfx and 40sec with D8 so very long.
I have the best density range with D8 developer but a little bit fog. With Tfx / Dektol, poor density range, no contrast and very foggy.
My silver nitrate and bromide pottassium is old (ten years), maybe is the problem ?
I just add two coating, maybe is not enough ?
Thank you for your help.
