So I finally go around to installing my color head. Had to buy a few parts to make it work. Specifically a new bulb and conic light integrator. But I’m having an issue. It’s not nearly as bright as it was. Even without the filters, and the lens wide open, I still need 2-3 minutes exposure. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you are using the correct bulb? TTBOMK the head takes an 82volt bulb - supplies 82V to the bulb - and if there is a 120V bulb in the enlarger then things will be dim indeed.

Yep. 82v 250w. But I’ve also seen conflicting information. Some sources say 82v 250w, while others say 24v 200w. Depending on which particular model, but I have no way to tell which.

The labeling on the back of the power supply box should say what the output is.

I found the problem. Apparently the first gen models, the ones with a separate power supply, use a 24v 200w bulb. But the newer single unit version uses 82v. New bulb will be here Saturday.

Just be glad that the error didn't go the other way.
Those 24V bulbs can do very bad things when they experience 82V!

Yeah, that happened with my color head, now it bears a large voltage sticker across the front (and some battle scars inside)
