Here's a question for the Hasselblad folks.

I have a 21mm extension tube that I have used for some time with no problems. The other day, I reached for it and found it would not snap into place on one of my 500 c/m bodies. Upon inspection it appears to be in the "un cocked" position. I have attached some photos for clarity.

I have tried manually turning the screw head from the back (camera side) much like fixing a jamed lens from inside the body. But I can not seem to get it back into the cocked position so that it will mont on a body.

Has any one else run into this problem? Any ideas?

Have you tried releasing it? Depress the protected lever & gently rotate the actuating rod. That may or may not free it up.
There's not much in there to f**k up just treat it gently.

Go it!!

John,

Thanks for your reply. I think that worked. One thing I noticed is that it takes more revolutions that one would think.

It's working now. I appreicate it.

This is a pretty common problem. Just take a coin or a screwdriver and turn that little screw into the cocked position. You'll be good to go.

Thanks Paul

I usually feel pretty foolish after solving one of these delimas.

But the power of this forum is that there is a place to go that keeps us from running down the wrong path and having to learn from mistakes.

It just doesn't exist without people willing to share a little of their time and experiences.

thanks again.

Just in case...

I keep a small coin in both bags... got so used to it that I forget it's in the pocket. My 150 and 250 trip easily with any of my extensions. Damned annoying but *@£@X+$ happens...
