I’m not sure of the value here. If any APUGers can weigh in with a realistic price, we can use that as the selling price. First, the downsides. There is a generous ring of separation around the periphery of the glass. The shutter works fine on B and T, but fires at a single speed on all the other speeds - maybe 1/60 second or so.
Now the good stuff. Glass is exceptionally clean. It is hard to imagine glass over 100 years old being any cleaner than this. It includes a lens flange and front and rear caps. The diaphragm itself masks all of the separation within about a half stop of wide open. See in the photographs for comparison. Diaphragm action is smooth and easy. So basically, this lens is ready to shoot with a hat shutter. Or have the shutter repaired and you will have a pretty versatile set up. Focal lengths are 15"/24"/36”. I forgot the exact coverage but I believe it is larger than 8 x 10. I have 10 x 12 in the brain but I’m just not totally sure. I will let it go out at a Photrio-friendly price, once we have some idea what that actually is. Enjoy!!
