As it had been repeated before, the 7 minutes is for old Plus-X, and I have gotten best results with the 8.5 minutes as published by Kodak for the new stuff. The way to ID them is if the canister has purple on it and reads "Plus-X Pan", it's the old stuff. If the canister is only yellow and gray, and has large "PX" letters, it's the new stuff.

Yep, I'm using the new stuff. I'm about halfway through anothre roll of KODAK Professional Plus-X and hope to have it finished off and developed by the end of the weekend. I am looking forward to seeing better results with the updated development time of 8 1/2 minutes.

I finished off my roll of KODAK Professional Plus-X and developed it for 8 1/2 minutes, D-76 1+1. The negatives look great, as does the contact sheet. I can definitely see the difference in negative quality between the roll I underdeveloped and this one. I am confident that these negatives will enlarge well. I have a busy weekend ahead of me so it'll be several days before I get into the darkroom with these negatives.

Here's a quick negative scan frim this new roll of KODAK Professional Plus-X using my recently purchased (used from ebay) Minolta Dimage Dual Scan IV and VueScan. This is the first time I have used this scanner, but I am quite pleased with the results.
