Tri-X and Dichroic fog.

Hi, just came by 20 rolls of 120 Tri-X, dated 1998...so well past it's use by! Took a roll and processed in ID11 1:1 to see how it was. Speed seems OK, but plenty of dichroic fog present, question is, does anyone have a suggestion for developer that can reduce this? Also when doing my usual pre-rinse I noticed that no anti-halo dye came out in the water, seemed strange...I'm used to a nice dark green brew coming out.

How do you discriminate between dichroic fog and base fog / storage fog?
