I am exposing Tri-x at 800 indoors, at poorly lit christmas parties. There is X-tol at hand. Usually I follow the massive development chart religously, but it does not give a time for this combination without pointing out that it refers to an older version of the film.

What would you do? Any suggestion from the depths of your knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

(P.s. I am actually using Arista Premium 400, but everyone tells me that it really is Tri-x.)

and merry christmas and all that!

Download the XTOL data from Kodak.

Thanks Steve

Kodak suggests the same time for 800 as for 400, so this makes it easy.

What is typically the difference between full strenght and diluted Xtol, if I may ask another question?

You could develop for the same time as Kodak suggests. I regularly shoot Arista Premium in an XA4 set on 1600 and I develop for between 10 and 12 minutes if I remember right.
