My sheet film arrived today and I'm already to take some pictures. But, the box of HP5 and Efke PL100 don't mention how much solution I need to develop the film in trays (I plan on doing two sheets at a time in 8x10 trays to start) or, how many sheets I can develop with X amount of liquid? Liquid in this case = Rodinal.
when Ive done 4x5/8x10 in rodinal I always used a minimum of 10ml of stock solution. per 2-3 sheets. Usually I used it at 1:100. so it was 10ml to 1L.
Some people say you can easily get by with 5ml of stock... but that just seemed so low to me. I much prefer to have a tray full of developer (1+ Liter when doing 8x10)
In terms of how much stock solution you need to process film without exhausting the developer, just bear in mind that a roll of 35mm is about the same as a roll of 120 or one sheet of 8x10 or two 5x7's or four 4x5's.
In terms of how much developer you need to handle the sheets, I'd say you want at least a half inch of solution in the tray for 2-4 sheets.
