Travelling and film - a quotation from Max Frisch

I just read a quotation from Max Frisch:

"Auf Reisen gleichen wir einem Film, der belichtet wird. Entwickeln wird ihn die Erinnerung."

which translates (I hope...) roughly to: "On a journey we resemble a film that gets exposed. It will be developed by our memories."

What a beautiful comparison! - which only can be understood by film photography.

I guess photography is a journey in itself, a discovery of what is in front of us, in a given moment.
