I use large format paper negatives and pinhole cameras, so I don't have an 'original' film neg.
Contact printing works fine most of the time, but I do have some very thin and soft negatives that just don't seem to work
Prints become just flat and murky
So maybe I could scan the negs, and print them on a transparent sheet and use that either for silvergelatin- or platinum printing.
But first I am going to try if increasing the light source works, like jnantz said.
