The thing is, I think print magazines are basically over and dead. It'd cost a lot to establish another print magazine. Magnachrom was headed in the right direction I think, it was really too bad to learn of the Editor's health problems. Sorry Chris, I haven't checked out CiM yet, will do though...
Nowadays, a person can use In Design to put together a snazzy web-based magazine, and people can print off whatever they wish or pay to have high-quality prints sent from a third party printer.
Content is something that there is *plenty* of: it could be mined directly from APUG. E.g. an issue could contain an annotated informative thread from the annals of APUG, include a portfolio, a few columns or blog articles... and voila, you have as much real content as you find in any current photography magazine.
I'd also prefer a magazine open to any and all analogue workflows... not just b&w.
