Good afternoon!

I recently picked up a Toyo 45a and love it, and have only one issue I'd like to address. The lock lever for the focus knob is loose, in that it will not properly lock focus. When engaged it becomes slightly harder to roll the focus but just barely. Curious if anyone has removed the bottom plate panel to get to that adjustment before or if anyone knows of a repair manual? I searched first but am not coming across this specific thing so far.

Thanks so much in advance for any ideas!

Toyo 45A focus lock adjustment
I just finished disassembling/cleaning/lubricating/re-assmebling a used Toyo 45A. My front focus lock was a tad loose, too. Tightening that lock is no big deal. You do have to remove the plastic bottom of the camera. There are 3 set screws hidden under the ring of leather that surrounds the tripod screw. You have to carefully pry up the leather ring (it is glued down), then remove the 3 set screws. The rest of the plastic bottom is just held down with rubber cement. Carefully pry it up too. Once you have the bottom cover off, the friction lock adjustment is obvious.

Thanks so much for the info!! Sounds straight forward enough and I'll give it a go. Have a fantastic day!
