On the pinhole side of this exchange, I only have a Hasselblad pinhole 'lens'.

Must a pinhole photo be taken with a homemade camera, or does a manufactured set-up count too?

Either is OK. Pinhole is pinhole.

OK Folks, I have applied my magic randomizer, thanks to google, and have generated a list so that each of us may send to another. I even checked to make sure that none of us is sending to him/herself! So I sent a private message (conversation) to each revealing their intended recipient. Let the games begin.

I have made my print, but not sent it yet. Any excuse to get into the darkroom!

Please post here when you send or receive a print. We can keep track.

Thanks Folks. I for one enjoy these exchanges.

Your timing is impeccable Mark.
I just printed my first batch of test shots (just around the house - you all know that drill, I am sure) and
Mon dieu! It works!
Tomorrow the hunt for a fitting scene begins.

Have fun everyone!

Update: I built myself a pinhole camera from an old broken Lubitel 166 TLR and made my first pinhole photographs this past weekend.
I an not sure if I should use these for the exchange or wait for better lighting conditions and more practice to achieve better results.

I sent mine out last week...
And received today Andrew = Friday 07 February 2020. So, many thanks for a really lovely print!

BUT! You managed to leave out a note, telling me who sent it, what round it was for, how it was produced, camera used etc. etc.

I was just about to send a note to Piu to ask if he knew of a member from Coquitlam, BC, as I had not exchanged anything with a member from there, so my address list didn't help.

About twenty minutes of searching and about to send the above, I somehow ended up here - and here you are - I've found you!!!

It's a lovely print and would love to know more about it and it's taking and production. It's a beautiful colour and obviously contact printed from a large neg. But that's as much as I can deduce.

For others, btw, it's a 7" x 5 1/2" picture of a Chinese storefront, somewhere, that has some lovely dappled shade on it, so the print is a delicate mixture of tones, highlights and shadows.

I would have been very happy to have produced this print btw Andrew, so I am just as pleased to have received it. I'm going to cut out a window mount for it, just to see what it looks like when the brush marks are covered - although, I have no problem with these, as I often do them myself

Oop! Sorry about that. That's me when I'm multi-tasking! I'm sure I wrote my name and return address on the envelope.... no? The print is a kallitype. Developed in sodium citrate, and toned in gold toner. Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag paper. Originally shot on HP5 120 in my Holga. Enlarged with the aid of a digital negative. It's in the city of Omuta, Japan. A small city where I taught in and photographed extensively...that's where I do and continue to do my coal mine series (for the past 25 years). I'll be over there this March. The small shop served up noodle dishes. The shop is long gone, as are many of the shop in that area. I don't recognise it anymore. If anyone wants to see the print, it's in my gallery.
Again, sorry for the confusion, Terry!

Prints arrived this afternoon. Thank you for your TWO prints. I really like the paper you used to print the abandoned car. Too bad it's no longer in production. It has a wonderful surface to it. Cheers and thank you very much!
