Hello all:
i need some guidance.
i purchased a Minolta X700 off EBay; "for parts or not working condition" for $5 solely to disassemble and to learn. Thought I would examine the innards, particularly towards being able to do the electrolytic capacitor replacement fix which is symptomatic of these models.
Removed the top and bottom in an orderly and repeatable manner; hopefully so I can reassemble!
Here's my question . . . When reassembling the various "slotted retainers" removed using my spanner wrench, such as the ones securing the shutter release, film advance lever, etc, how "tight" should they be fastened? What's the torque specification, even though you can't use a torque wrench on them.
I imagine they can't be so loose as to potentially back out, but not so tight as to cause binding of the parts or limit functioning properly.
So what's the method followed by you experienced repair folks? Thanks for the help.
