I have a first-generation Topcon R from 1957-8 that currently uses an Auto-Topcor pre-set lens. There's not much information out there about Topcon F.Auto-Topcor lenses, and I'm curious, can a Topcon R use Topcon F.Auto lenses in the same way as the pre-set lens, or is it an entirely different mount?

I think it is the same mount, the Exakta mount, but I don't think you have a preset lens, the linkage from the camera to the shutter release stops the lens down as you press the shutter button. With the later RE the linkage is all internal to the and body.
