Tool name; used in Nikon F partial overhall?

In the following video at around 6:34, the technician uses a tool to remove the shutter release collar.


Now I know that Nikon probably made all their own custom spanners, but I can swear I have see this type of handle before being used by other repair people.

Does anyone know of a name for the tool? Is it simply a custom spanner or...?

I am nuts on tools but I do not even know the german name...

Found it...

Stiftschlüssel what in my translation would be pin-wrench.

Though with the form of the grip discussed here or shown in that Wiha link I would rather use pin-screwdriver instead.



In the past I myself used terms as slotted-screwdriver, toothed-screwdriver.

Thanks, I have been using every search term I can dream-up, but it looks like there is only one source for an adjustable type of this tool.

The Thorlabs spanner looks like it will do the job; https://www.thorlabs.com/thorproduct.cfm?partnumber=SPW801 but I wonder how rugged those tips would be...

Perhaps a few cheap Flathead screwdrivers, files and a dremel tool would make a few custom spanners.

That is a very cool tool, the ones you have to slide and adjust with a thumb nut are a pain.

Dont think the legs would be thin enough for your purpose, you could just use a set of dividers.

The tool in the video looks to me like it has a removable tip -- as if there are a set of different sized tips that can be attached.

Seen the effort of making such tip (of decent kind) the price of the grip should not matter much. Then it would rather be a matter of storing space.
Manufacturer repairers however only would have those tools at their bench they really need for the respective models. Then having such screwdrivers ready-set at hand is more benefitial.

Especially for fine adjusting jobs a link between tip and grip could become a nuisance. Of course dependeant on how it was designed.
