Hi all,

I have been posting a series of toning tutorials on my website and though I would share them here for people to use as a resource. Only a few sepia tutorials for now but will be covering selenium, copper, blue and gold in future articles. Hope someone finds them useful.

Firstly an article about equipment etc you will need - Dead Link Removed

Secondly an article about straightforward sepia toning - Dead Link Removed

Thirdly an article about split toning with sepia - Dead Link Removed

And lastly an article about further steps such as pre-sulphiding and triple band toning - Dead Link Removed

Enjoy!

I would not call your "split toned" print, not that, but partially toned. In the days when papers,Brovira 6 in particular, contained cadmium, one split toned until the shadows were warm (brown) and the highlights were cool (blue).
