Is-it possible to tone Satista print and what is the way to do it ?

Satista is a variaton of the kallitype process and you should follow similar toning procedures, i.e. tone before fixing if using a gold, palladum or platinum toner. If you tone with selenium you should fix and wash the print before toning.

Toning will result in a print that has the same physical make-up as a kallitype so the only difference between Satista and regualr kallitype is in the method of making the print. I have used both methods and prefer the kallitype method, but individual working habits and conditions may make Satista easier for some people.

Hello Philippe,

As Sandy wrote Satista toned as Kallitype
I did some platinum , palladium and gold toning on satista and getgood rsult with all three. You could use the formula available in the Sandy's article on Kalitype on unblinkingeye, but any salt peint , albumen print toning formula work.
