Tokyo Optical (Topcor) Simlar 50/1.5 LTM

This is a very rare lens, dated back to the 40s. This lens render great sharpness and saturation even at full aperture!

The lens exterior is in good user condition. There are quite amount of scratches and coating mark on front element. The rear lens element has some minor scratches and coating mark. I find the image quality is still very good on film!

Schneider Kreuznach Xenogon 35/2.8 LTM

This is a very rare lens. It has f2.8 aperture while about the same size as Leitz Summaron 35/3.5. Schneider lens is famous for its rendering of highlight and shadow details!

The lens exterior is in good user condition. The front element has quite amount of small scratches, which is acceptable for such vintage German lens.

The Tokyo Optical 50mm F1.5 (also called the "Simlar") and the Xenogon 35mm F2.8 are two of the finest Leica thread mount lenses ever made. The Simlar performs closer to an early Summilux than an Summarit, and the Xenogon is closer to an F2.8 Summaron - highly recommended if you need some serious glass for your LTM body. These prices are quite reasonable too.

I've bought items from Frederick before and they were fantastic - better than described! A recommended seller too!

Hello. Thanks for support.

Personally, I find that my preference over various 50mm f/1.5 lenses I have tried are:
Topcor > Voigtlander (old) > Canon > Zeiss Jena > Summarit
