I bought this lens some time ago on eBay, but I'm not much of a wide-angle shooter and hardly ever use it. It is a very decent lens, sharp at all apertures and half a stop faster than Canon's own 17mm. Contrast is low wide open, best performance is at f8.
The lens shows some moderate wear on the barrel and the focusing ring has a tiny play (less than 1mm to either side), but the infinity mark is spot on. It is mechanically sound. The glass is clean on the outside, but there is fungus behind the second or third element (see first image). It does not seem to affect performance, but it's there and will have to be cleaned sooner or later. Therefore, I'm selling this AS-IS.
I bought this lens for 120 euro on eBay and failed to notice the fungus, so it's my loss. Make me a reasonable offer and the lens is yours.
