Germans say "Zees", too, sometimes.

As in "Zees ah zee best lenses in ze vuhld."

although I hear that the laykas did pretty well last season.

I say Nyekon, not Neekown.

Hasselblad is fun to say because you can use a different pronunciation each time you say it. I like to mix it up and say "Hazzablad" sometimes, "Hass-il-blad" others, "Hassablad" and "Hasselblawd" also work.

Though mostly I call it a "Hooselhassel" because one time I walked into Calumet on 22nd st in NYC and that's what the funny guy behind the counter called it.

Nah-- they pretty much sucked. Made the playoffs on the last day of the season, then promptly got swept.

On an up note, though, former Laker Brian Shaw was just named head coach of the Denver Nuggets. Congratulations, Brian, and I hope you'll still talk to us little people here on APUG!

I suspect that it varies by country. In the Nikon TV advertisements in the UK, it is pronounced Nick... on.
