The 828 format has a lot to offer, and it’s larger size made bigger slides. An early entry in the mid century stereo boom was the Haneel Tri-Vision. An offspring of the very rare Kirk Stereo Camera, the Haneel improved the design with aluminum trim and a better sealing metal rear door. It used coated single element lenses and had a fixed focus and 1/25 shutter speed. Push both buttons, and that’s Bulb. Sold with the camera was a beautiful stereo viewer. The slides themselves were clear plastic sleeves, the pictures could be changed out. A very large numbers were sold in the USN base PX in Hawaii in 1946. Problems with mishandling the $14000 check for payment led to a Supreme Court Case!

Hey great topic for today and any day. My Dad gave me his Kodak Flash Bantam 828 in about 1958. i used it for many years. Great little camera. I guess there may still be a source of film for this little gem. Interesting in itself is that the Bantam Special shown above was designed by Walter Darwin Teague who was very famous industrial designer. Read about him here.
