Gentle fellows, I have recently purchased a lens which came on a lens board about which I ignore everything. I would like to resell it, but I don't know under which brand/make I should advertise it. The size is more or less the same as a Linhof 4x5'' so I believe this is also for 4x5'' (the hole looks big as it is for copal 3 shutters). Does anyone perhaps have clues? Thank you very much.

The measurements would help, a lot of lens boards look very similar and sometimes differ by only a few mm.

To me, it looks like a it may be machined board for a Pacemaker Graflex (originals are stamped sheet metal).

What is that hole for? (It seems drilled through, but covered by that piece of tape.)

No, Graflex boards are made by a sheet of metal folded at the perimeter, and are significantly smaller.

I ignore why the hole was drilled and later covered.

Some shutters have a pin that screws into the back to keep it from turning in the mount. That is likely what the small hole is for.

Some aftermarket Graflex boards are made from machined plate. It's hard to tell how big this board actually is with no reference, the measurements would help narrow the possibilities.

it looks like something similar to a graphic view II board
i don't know the measurements, but the edges are rounded
and the GVII boards are square

Looks like it's from a Busch Pressman 4x5.
