My HP printer died. It was good printer to make digital negatives, because in the software there was a slider minus or plus , for inkt output. So good density was possible.
Now a bought a new printer an Epson ET 2650 ecotank. But no controls for extra inkt output in the software. Contrast in the digital negatives are very low. Can't make fine cyanotype print.
How can I change the inkt output setting ? I already choose photo glossy highest DPI output modus. There's no tool in the software to give higher inkt output manual.
Can I hack the print software to make bigger inkt output possible ?

I'm not familiar with that printer. I have a 3880. Why not try setting it for matte paper or luster or tweak the original file to be more contrasty. If you are using Pictorico transparent media they probably have a curve to start from also you can make your own curve adjustments and save it. Then apply it to other negatives. My experience with the Epson printers is that when I print on matte surface paper the tonality is more dense but you want more contrast as I understand it. I use the luster setting for both glossy and matte and adjust the the image before printing. It may not be the best way but it works for me.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, Epson does not allow changing the ink density on all but only their highest-end large format printers. I learned that the hard way by buying the P400 only to realize the driver is not the same as the P600 and P800 where one could increase or decrease the ink load. For a long time, one "hack" to control the amount of ink has been the QuadTone RIP software that allows independent control of each ink cartridge. But that works for only a few compatible printers and I doubt if your ET 2650 would be one.

So a question: Are you colorizing your negatives? If not, finding an optimum color to maximize the density will help. Black is not usually the most UV-opaque color in inkjet printers. There is a lot of literature you can find here and elsewhere about that subject.

P.S. By the way, this subject is most suited to the Digital Negative sub-forum than the current one.

I'am sorry I've placed my question in the wrong sub-forum. But I'am very thankfully for your answers. I think try an other paper profile is a little too subtle, too nuanced, I need an greater change.

Up to now, I printed in black tones (or should I say grey tones?). But the last 2 post, give an good step further and try colorizing my negatives. That seems to my a good answer to get better UV density. That's what I'am going to do first.
