Don't forget that the "better" drinking glasses are made out of lead crystal glass (about 30% lead oxide) and don't seem to cause anyone any problems. (Although I believe that some US states haved banned their sale ??)

I think the concern with lead crystal is storing alcohol in it for long periods of time - people claim the lead will leach with prolonged storage.
Using it for a drink is supposedly safe.

Yet another thread on the storage bottle color. Basically the color does not matter. Use the search tool to find many threads on this subject.

Please do test it as suggested and let us know the results. I also store my replenisher in amber boston rounds filled to the brim and haven't had a problem. If I haven't used my working solution for a while, I add 100ml or so per liter before processing and also test it with a film strip. You may notice some darkening in a minute, but I leave it in for the recommended development time for whatever film I am going to process. If it is good and black, then I assume it is OK and use it - so far I have not been disappointed with the results, but would like to learn the results of your test.
